Dorel Cosarcari (it’s me) was born in Toplita, Romania. As a child, he was impressed by music and he started to play on a cheep acoustic guitar. This happened many years ago. Now I can remember that I was very ambitious for music, but sometimes I slipped away from school. My father, as an tough-dictatorial guy, once smashed a guitar on my head, trying to focus me on the book-knowledge. That guitar spread away, and here I am still making music. Dorel’s (it’s me again) debut in the world of music starts with those “famous” Romanian festivals. The pleasure of playing everywhere was the same, so each opportunity to have a party for somebody, was for him a good place to play music.
That was the period of collecting and extending his own repertoire. He says: ” I focused on learning every style of music and fortunately Transylvania was a good place for this. I started with the pop-rock, and pop-folk period. After that came the folklore era. The folklore from Transylvania, with a mixed culture of Romanian, Hungarian and German communities produced this variety of diversified music ”. After a couple of years playing on guitar and bass with local instrumentalists, followed by being on tour across the country and even abroad as an acoustic-bass player with the ”Rapsozii Calimanului” folk-ensemble from Toplita, Dorel formed his first group called “Made in Transylvania”. The present set up has three musicians: Dorel on keyboard, Doru on violin and Dan-Doru on master-keyboard), with a program covering a wide range of Romanian and also International music styles. Every appearance on stage or in studio, their band have, means to them an occasion for an ”special guest” refreshment. Dorel says: “ Among those bands and ensembles who activates in Romania, our group “Made in Transylvania” has it’s own place and it’s own word to say. Especially now, when the trend to Romanian-etno music is so actual. We combine in our music the specific and traditional music forms from our area with the new, modern rhythms and grooves. In 2004 we launched the album called “Doreii din Toplita” on MC and CD, performed with a guest violin player, who has the same name as we have: Doru. This album was promoted all over the country with two video-clips by the “Etno-TV” channel. Actually, in present we are playing music for every generation in English, French, Italian, Hungarian and of course in Romanian. We are invited by people to play on all kinds of parties (cocktails, wedding parties) or even on open air shows too. You’ll find on this site live recorded DEMO songs, played on different occasions, with me on keyboards and vocal and the ”Made in Transylvania” group making the background, without any “playback” singing or studio recording.
Ma numesc Dorel Cosarcari am început să cânt de la o vârstă mica.Am luat avânt în lumea muzicală datorită “celebrelor” festivaluri, dar şi cântările la petreceri fiind o plăcere pentru mine.În următorii ani, m-am concentrat pe acumularea unui repertoriu cât mai complex şi complet. Zona Transilvania fiind cea mai propice întrucât genurile muzicale cântate sunt diversificate, aici convietuind români, maghiari, saşi ,etc.După mai mulţi ani de colaborări diverse cu instrumentisti pe plan local, dar şi cu ansamblul folcloric cu care am avut turnee în ţară si internationale, m-am hotărât să am o formatie proprie. Astfel, împreună cu doi băieti ( Doru si Dan ) recent lansaţi pe plan muzical, dar cu cunostinte bine aprofundate în muzică. În anul 2001 (: s-a născut formatia “Made în Transilania”, cu un repertoriu foarte bogat de melodii din repertoriul românesc si nenumărate din repertoriul international. Împreună cu colegii mei am căzut de acord că avem ceva de spus în muzica din tară. În tendinţele etno actuale dar în combinatie cu traditionalul specific zonei. După o promovare a casetei si CD-ului cu două videoclipuri difuzate pe postul “EtnoTV” cu acoperire natională, am lansat caseta ( Doreii din Toplita ) cu succes. Varianta actuală a trupei mele se dovedeşte a fi “profi”, noi cântând melodiile tuturor generaţiilor în limba engleză, franceză, italiană, maghiară. Cu orice ocazie suntem invitati să cântăm ( petreceri de firmă, petreceri cu temă specială, spectacole organizate în aer liber sau în săli de spectacol sau restaurante, nunti, etc. ) Cam atât până în prezent, dar promit cu ocazia oricărui eveniment deosebit din viata formatiei voi updata site-ul.
